She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mertens and Julia Mertens; her great grandchild Bentley "Bo" Windish; her brothers, Robert "Bob" Mertens and Charlie "Chuck" Mertens; and her siblings-in-law, Keith Ford and LuAnn Mertens.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth "Ken"; her daughter Katharine Uhl (Craig); her granddaughters, Chrystle Windish (Donny), Kayla Uhl, Kaitlyn Metheny (Michael) and Christen Uhl; her great grandchildren, Talia Jolson, Donny Windish IV, Cassidy Windish, Myles Jolson, Liam Metheny, Axel Windish and Nova Metheny; and her sisters, Carol Ford and Margaret West (Kerry). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
