He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar W. Thurston and Irene M. Thurston; his wife Carolyn Theodora; and his brother Richard Thurston (late Sarah). He is survived by: his children, Steven, Gregory (Melanie), Anne Thurston (Wencel Kubes) and Lynn Olson (Todd); his grandchildren, Tanner Thurston, Peter Celatka (Danielle McCool) and Benjamin Olson; his brother David Thurston (Teresa); and his sister-in-law Millicent Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
