He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Malmedal and June Malmedal (Koss); his brother Leslie; his aunt Ruby; his uncle Werner Koss; his parent-in-law Robert; and his brother-in-law Robert Baskerville.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Loretta Haas (Kyle) of Napoleon, ND, Rhonda King (Richard) of Sioux Falls, SD, Cortland Malmedal (Maria) of Lincoln, ND and Tristan Malmedal (Arla) of Mobridge, SD; his sister Judy Galow (Rick) of Bisbee, ND; his grandchildren, Brady, Megan, Taylor Malmedal, Payton, Charmaine, McKenzie, Sabrina, Felicia Haas, Haley, Kadyn, Connor King, Cady and Owen Malmedal; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Denny, Janet Baskerville, Mark Baskerville of Lucan, MN, Rick Baskerville (Anita) of Eldred, MN and William Baskerville of Tracy, MN. He is also survived by his wife, not only to his children and grandchildren but generously donating projects to the NDVMA and making faith chests for children.
