It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Margarite Van De Steeg in Cokato, Minnesota, born in Slayton, Minnesota, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lou Pronk and Wilhelmina Pronk; her husband Wilbur Van De Steeg; her children, Jerry "Cody" Van De Steeg and Patricia; her granddaughter Stacy; and her siblings, Nick Pronk, Bud Pronk, Lou Pronk, Thorton Pronk, Fannie Abbink, Elsie Mihlenbeck, Joan Dewyer and Louise Achterhoff.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela McDowell (Gary), Terry Van De Steeg (Mary), Larry Van De Steeg (Joann), Valerie Donaldson, Sandra Bernhardt (Sol), Sheila Fleischhacker (Fred), Gary Van De Steeg (Brenda) and Perry Van De Steeg (Cindy); her grandchildren, Amber, Shana, Brandon, Jennifer, Willie, Jessica, Salem, Scott, Stephanie, Shari, Cassie, Ellie, Micah, Josiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Zoe, Grace, Todd, Jeff, Kurt, Patricia, Lola and Nathan; and her sisters, Leone Goding and Alice Schriver. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
