He is survived by: his wife Germaine Ely; his mother Rochelle Ely of Chaska; his stepmother Ardis Ely of Cleveland; his children, Zack Ely (Alisha Strand) of Le Sueur, Rachel Allen (Jesse) of Kasota, Erica Irvin (Jon) of Mankato and Tessa Ely of Le Sueur; his siblings, Rob Ely of Mapleton, Kathy O'Brien (Mike) of Tennessee, Mickey Wollschlager (Cliff) of Austin, Tim Ely (Brenda) of Blaine and Mike Ely (Selena) of Elysian; his grandchildren, Ella Ely, Eliana Allen, Rihana, Bryna, Kason and Benson Irvin; and his mother-in-law Lois McCabe of St. Peter. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
