He was predeceased by: his daughter Tami Christensen; and his brother David Goede. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, Paul Deshayes, Jon Deshayes (Heather), James Goede and Sara Rundle (Brent); his grandchildren, Emily Simmerly, Sam Olsen (Ben), Nick Goede, Jenna Goede, Jacob Rundle, Derek Rundle, Tyler Rundle, Evan Deshayes and Emily Deshayes; his great grandchildren, Eloise, Timmy, Juliette, Sebastian Simmerly and Luella Olsen; his son-in-law Tom Christensen (Chris); and his sibling Gene Goede (Joann).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cleveland.
