He was predeceased by: his father Frederick; and his brother-in-law Mark Denfeld. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Mitch; his mother Phyllis Hirn; and his siblings, Mary Gustafson (Guy), Jean Denfeld, Fred Hirn, Tom Hirn (Polly) and Jim Hirn (Cordell Barnes). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
