She was predeceased by: her parents, Landis Livingston Thompson and Sylvia Bond Thompson Ruiz (Winslow); her husband James Robert Ashton, Jr. of Elizabeth's Catholic Church; her stepfather Demetrio Ruiz Jr. (Joe); and her brothers, Landis "Duane" Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Barye Ruiz, Lloyd Thompson, Richard Thompson and Bruce Ruiz (Connie).
She is survived by: her sister Cheryl Ann Thompson of Le Sueur, MN; and her sister-in-law Connie Ruiz of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
