She is survived by: her husband Donald Houtkooper; her son Neil Houtkooper (Pam); her granddaughters, Madeline and Miranda Bunyan (Ben); her children, Gail Anderson, Zachary Anderson (Afton), Jacob Anderson and Alex Anderson (Kristin); and her brother Erling Jacobson (Lois). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
