She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Saranen and Dorothy Saranen; her husband Marlin Johnson; and her sister Linda Jeffery. She is survived by: her children, Marlene Schuele (Michael), Steve (Katie) and Doug Johnson (Amy); her grandchildren, Zachary, Abigail, Halle, Kelsey, Nicholas, Tyler, Aliya, Annika and Nolan; her great grandchild Teegan; her stepmother Ruth Saranen; her sisters, Ann Tarango and Carol Ciolino (Paul); and her brother-in-law Jack Jeffery. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the American Diabetes Association.
