He is survived by: his children, Sara (Patrick Andrews) of Hermantown, MN and Shannon (Brandon Benzer) of Duluth, MN.; his grandchildren, Alison, Quinn Andrews, Finley and Chet Benzer; his siblings, James Szarke (Dianne Rhode), Elizabeth (Donald Skoglund) and John Szarke (Lynn); and his former wife Patricia Szarke. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
