He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kent and Nell Kent of Clontarf, MN.; his brothers, Robert (Duke) and Larry Kent; his wife Isabel Hughes; his daughter Shannon Kent; and his grandsons, Jordan Kent and Brian Kent.

He is survived by: his brother Stan; and his children, Steve Kent (Nancy), Coleen Berneking, Tim Kent (Julie), Kevin Kent (Sherri) and Shawn Kent.
