He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Altstatt and Irene Altstatt (Egge); and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Scheiterlein and Claude Fleenor. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Fleenor; his children, Chad Altstatt of Fargo, ND and Ann Andari (Howard) of Prescott Valley, AZ; his grandchild Lee; his daughter Amy Altstatt of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Georgia and Joseph Wardlow; his sister Gayle Scheiterlein of Victoria, MN; his niece Tana Erickson; and his sister-in-law Harriet Fleenor of Wahpeton, ND..
