She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Larson and Edith Larson; her husband Dorval Schmidt of Wahpeton, ND.; her stepmother Nina Larson; her son-in-law Richard Bailley; and her sisters, Irene, Beverly and Elaine.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Schmidt (Joey) of Rapid City, SD, Jacque Bailley, Jeff Schmidt (Rae) of Lewiston, ID, Bob Schmidt (Terrie) of Fergus Falls, MN and Tim Schmidt (Ann) of Wahpeton, ND; her brother Jerry; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann and Leona. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She began her work as a nurse during the Polio pandemic at St. Johns in Fargo, ND.
