He was loved and cherished by many people including: his adoptive father Richard Layton; his wife Mary Ann Layton of Doran, MN; his children, Michelle Snobl (Brian) of Doran, Robert Layton and Angie Layton of Detroit Lakes, MN; his grandchildren, Austin Snobl, Mikayla Snobl, Taylor Layton and Addison Layton; his sister Joran Olson of Sioux Falls, SD; his cousin Carolie Sheetz; his close friend Missy; his parents, Richard Layton and Hilda Layton; and his brother-in-law Richard Hagen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to CHI-Health at Home and Hospice, Breckenridge.
