He was predeceased by: his parents, Susanna Deal (Friederichs) and Edwin Deal; his wife Arlene Deal; his son Mike Deal; and his sister Eldora McDougal.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Deal, Susan Bernier, Sandra Mess, Barb Schaible (Bruce), Dan Deal (Ann), Thomas Deal (Cindy), Jim Deal (Connie) and Jane Hansen (Mike); his daughter-in-law Cindy Deal; and his siblings, Mary Illies, Joan Stommes and Lawrence Deal.
