She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Peterson; her parents, Alfred Ruediger and Gladys Ruediger; her siblings, Avis Anderson, Cecelia Johnson and Donald Ruediger; her daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Mary; and her great grandchildren, Collin Schiltz, Mason Schiltz and Alec Irwin.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Peterson (Suzanne) of Wahpeton, ND, Ralph Peterson of Barney, ND, David Peterson (Virginia) of Wahpeton, ND, Duane Peterson (Trudy) of Gwinner, ND and Larry Peterson (Chris) of Bagley, MN; her sisters, Virginia Ruediger (Bob Marks), Verlie Knutson and Janet Doberstein (Lee); and her sister-in-law Lois Ruediger. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
