He is survived by: his wife Mary Eleanor Tolzien; his daughters, Gisele Freitag (Michael) of Elizabeth, MN, Peggy McKeown (Gerald) of Callaway, MN and Lisa Yue (Timothy) of Shakopee, MN; his grandchildren, Sarah Poepping (Greg), Jacob Freitag (Ryan McGuire), Leah Maertens (Dustin), Rebekah Donner (Tom), Anita Thorson (Dan), Samantha Beshear, Joshua Yue (Maren) and Meredith Elsing (Paul); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Jadah, Jaron Poepping, Jaden, Clara, Emma Thorson, Luke, Michael, Patrick, Oliver Donner, Violet, Gus, Scarlet Maertens, Avery Yue and Thomas Elsing; his siblings, David Hess of Embarrass and Mary B. Sears of Isle; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Oletzke (James) of Blaine, Darlys Hess of Fergus Falls and Gloria Tolzien of Minneapolis. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
