She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lietz and Regine Lietz (Wiener); her husband Orie; her daughter Sherri; her son-in-law Peter Middleton; her son James; her granddaughter Faustina; her sister Lorraine; her brother-in-law Gerhard Kind; her sister Veronica; her brother-in-law Donald Ripka; her brother Vernon; her sister-in-law June Lietz; and her brother Ardell Lietz.
She is survived by: her children, Gary of Benson, Dale (Tomoko) of Pleasanton, Scott (Cindy) of Sioux Falls and Gwenn of Hutchinson; her grandchildren, Ross (Mindy) of Willmar, Kenichi (Sayaka) of Edison, Louis of Brooklyn, Eric (Kia) of Madison and Lindsey (Andrew) of Bemidji; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Eva, Jordan and Everly; her brother Eugene Lietz (Virginia) of St. Paul; and her siblings-in-law, Joanne Lietz and Marlin Mills (Martha) of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Swift County Historical Society of Benson.
