She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald E. Pelkey and Dorothy V. Pelkey-Henjum (Boever); her husband James Sandstrom; her stepfather Arnold Henjum; and her siblings, Norbert Pelkey, Ronald Pelkey, Jerome Pelkey and Geraldine Wallace (Pelkey).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Margaret Sandstrom (Neil Hill) of Minneapolis, Kris Marie Sandstrom of Willmar and Reginald James Sandstrom of Grove City; her grandchildren, Cody Sandstrom, Brian Sandstrom, Krista Kurkosky (Kory) and Madyson Sandstrom; her great grandchildren, Kamden Kurkosky and Kaylee Kurkosky; her sister Gloria Tollefson (Milton) of Sunburg; her stepbrother Larry Henjum (Diane) of New London; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Petersen (Steve) of DeGraff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Benson Friends of the Library and Carris Health Hospice.
