He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gatz and Mary "Theresa" Gatz (Schmidt); his former wife Geraldine Hix (Marguerite); and his son Bill. He is survived by: his children, Jim, Paul and Mary; his wife Marguerite Hessian; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Trevor, Emily, Jenna, Aspen, Amber, Nick and Jesse; and his great grandchildren, Ava and Alek.
