He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fries and Anna Fries (Studerman). He is survived by: his wife Jeanette "Jeanie" Long; his sons, Michael Fries (Cathy) of Jordan, Joe Fries (Sue) of Prior Lake and Rick Fries of Belle Plaine; his grandchildren, Nicole Spicer, Jeremy Fries (Myra), Becca Geis (Greg), Matt Sandy (Shalisha), Kendra Fries, Bailey Fries (Chloe Franke), Casey Fries and McKenzie Fries; and his sister Alice Grohut. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
