He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Haugrud and Bertha Haugrud (Julsrud) of Rothsay, MN.; his wife Helen Ann; his brother Sherman; and his uncle Milton Haugrud.
He is survived by: his sons, Brent Haugrud (Debra) of Rothsay and Bryant Haugrud (Tracy) of Rothsay; his grandchildren, Benjamin Haugrud (Jenna), Nathan Haugrud (Amanda), Rachel Schlangen (Greg), Bryce Haugrud, Tia Johnson (Lance) and Bryton Haugrud; his great grandchildren, Bruce, Boaz, Brynlee, Noa and Emmett; his sister Aurlette Plateau; his aunt June Haugrud; and his sister-in-law Mildred Boen (Cal). He is also survived by cousins and friends.
He raised, processed, and distributed Foundation seed for Minnesota Crop Improvement Association.
