He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Sylvester and Lillian Wilhelmina Swenson (Hahn); his wife Patricia Colleen Thomas; his son Duane Jr.; his daughter-in-law Pamela Swenson; and his brothers, Wallace Swenson (Jean) and Marvin Swenson.
He is survived by: his children, Candace Callicutt (Steve) of Springfield, NE, Cary Zepper (Tim), Ed Swenson (Yolanda) and Wade Swenson (Jill); his grandchildren, Kenny Callicutt (Shayla), Brianna Mercer (Steve), Rhett Zepper, Logan Swenson, Alicia Swenson, Samantha Swenson, Lucy Crace, Amber Hanson (Josh), Ashley Swart, Maggie Swenson, Grace Swenson, Ben Swenson and Danielle Swart; his great grandchildren, Nathan and Daphne Mercer; his brother Arnie Swenson; and his close friend Kay Lane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church Air Conditioner Fund.
