With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clair Francis Allen of Austin, Minnesota, born in Grand Meadow, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Allen and Laura Allen (Overkamp); his wife Bonita Olson; and his siblings, Kenneth, Delmer Allen, Dorothy Blanchard, Bernice Schaefer and Carol Cross.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Anderson (Curtis) of Effingham, Mark Allen (Teresa) of Becker, Daniel Allen of Owatonna, Jeff Allen of Owatonna, Cheryl Allen of Albert Lea, Linda Allen of Albuquerque and Elaine Barrett (Bruce) of Owatonna; his brother Jerry Allen (Ruth) of Kasson; and his close friend Jeanette Ludemann. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Grand Meadow School District or the Mower County Historical Society.
