He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kolander and Meta Kolander (Frank); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Joan Bening; his daughter Lynn Delohery (Patrick) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his granddaughter Sara Campbell (David); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Peyton and Parker; his granddaughter Anna Ludwig of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his son Kurt Kolander (Jennifer) of Madison, Wisconsin; his grandsons, Samuel and Jakob Kolander of Madison, Wisconsin; his brother Kenneth (Arline) of Appleton, Wisconsin; his sisters-in-law, Lois Bening of Brooklyn Center, Janet Hansen (David) of Arlington and Lori Kosse (Don) of Arlington; and his nephews, Eric and Adam Hansen of Arlington. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing is required and limited seating is available for the funeral.
