He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Lanigan and Marie Lanigan (Doebber); his wife Carol Lanigan (Hesse); his siblings, Pat Heidelberger, Darrel and John Lanigan; and his nephew Jeremy Lanigan.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Heath (Chuck), Sheri Turba (Jeff) and Lyle Lanigan Jr. (Bonni Thompson); his siblings, Marilyn Honebrink (Steve), Cindy Jantzen (Duey), Jerry Lanigan (Luann Hammerschmidt) and Kevin Lanigan (Barb); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Heidelberger and Theresa Lanigan. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
