He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Matthews and Rosella Matthews; his wife Sandra Kay Matthews; his parents-in-law, Virginia Davis Brown and Newton Davis; his stepfather-in-law Chuck Brown; his brother-in-law Daniel Davis; and his great-niece Mallory Davis.
He is survived by: his son Robin Matthews (Patty Bradley); his sister-in-law Theresa Davis; his nieces, Elizabeth Isaacson and Jessica Davis; his nephew Daniel Davis (Laura); and his great-nephew Zachary Davis.
