He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hunter, Sr. and Pearl Hillis; and his wife Elaine Hunter. He is survived by: his sons, James Hunter, III (Ruby) of Ypsilanti, MI and Duane Hunter (Lori) of Willis, MI; his grandson Darren Hunter of Willis, MI; and his sister Mary Ellen Royal (Buddy) of Girard, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
