She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Thomas; her son James Holland Jr. of Ypsilanti, Michigan.; and her siblings, Charles Gates, James Gates (Delenia), Larry Gates, Cynthia Gates, Ann Foley of Ypsilanti, Elaine Gates, Brenda Stacey (Arthur) of LaGrange and Mary Brooks (Curtis) of Atlanta, Georgia.
