He was predeceased by: his children, Valerie Herrera Sullivan and Ricardo Herrera; and his siblings, Victoria Herrera, Robert DeLeon and Sam Ortiz.
He is survived by: his wife Suzi Herrera; his children, Yvonne Herrera Swartz and Gregory Herrera; and his siblings, William Herrera, Pete Herrera, Roy DeLeon, Delores Grambrell, Lupe Salas and Jenny Gabrewyaski. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
