He is survived by: his wife Kristan Thompson (Shaffer); his children, Robert Thompson, Jr. of Augusta, MI and Lisa Thompson of Prescott; his stepchildren, Darlene Miller of Whittemore, Dawn Dalton and Robert Horvath of Gwinn, MI; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Trisha Thompson, Brad and Heather Krantz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
