He is survived by: his mother Nancy Hertel (Greiner); his sons, Owen Hertel and Elijah Hertel; the parent of his children Lynn Hertel; his stepson Caleb Blanchette (Danielle); his siblings, Dean Hertel (Amy) and Brenda Grow (Rich); his nephew Richie Grow; and his aunt Marie Fitzpatrick (Gary).
