He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Nickels and Matilda Nickels (Snyder); his siblings, Laura Nickels, Floyd Nickels and Edward Nickels (Joanne); and his brother-in-law Bruce Guppy.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Powell; his grandchildren, Heather, Lily, Elizabeth Powell and Daniel Nickels; his siblings, Christine Guppy, Gloria Nickels, Bruce Nickels (Debra), Susan Van Gorder (Scott) and Terry Nickels (Janette); and his sister-in-law Susan Burnett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
