She was predeceased by: her husband Gerrit VanHeck; her son Timothy VanHeck; and her siblings, Lorenzo Dickson (Juanita), Orland "Red" Dickson, Carrie Gleason (Carl), Pearl Bigger (Vernon) and Rudy Dickson (Rita).
She is survived by: her children, Leela McMullen and David VanHeck; and her close friend Gene Garseau. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
