He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Dr. Alec Whitley; his wife Nancy; his son John Whitley (Karilynn); his grandchildren, Cory Short (Megan), Andrew Whitley (Brenna), Noah Ellis, Autumn Whitley, Mary Whitley, Sydney Ellis, Nathan Whitley, Jonah Ellis and Julius Whitley; his son Aaron Whitley (Michele); his grandchildren, Auston Whitley and Madalyn Whitley; his great grandchild Bowen Alec Short; and his sister Mary Lynne Holder. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
