He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johanson and Dorothy Johanson. He is survived by: his spouse Jodell Johanson; his children, Todd Johanson (Tami) and Shannon VanSlambrouck (Dean); his grandchildren, Breanna Johanson, Blake Johanson, Ryan VanSlambrouck and Leah VanSlambrouck; and his brothers, William Johanson (Kristin) and Raymond Johanson (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
