It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma L. Hakamaki of Wakefield, Michigan, who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Niemela and Emma Niemela (Eliason); her siblings, Arvo, William, Wayne, Elmer Niemela, Ellen (Francis Drake), Ruth (Walter Maki), Ethel (Vernon Solberg), Jerry Hakamaki, Elsie, Miriam and Leo; her daughter Lynn; and her grandson Neil.
She is survived by: her husband Eric J. Hakamaki; her sons, Dale (Julie) and David (Gina); her grandchildren, Lynn and Carrie; her daughter Carrie Yon (Peter); her grandchildren, Jaime, Whitney, Henry, Hannah (Finn), Lara, Ryan, Hallee, Kassidee, Carlee, Jillian, Jared and Erik; her great grandchildren, Liliana, Jack and Annabelle; and her sisters-in-law, Marion Niemela, Ardythe Niemela and Lexi Hakamaki. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
