He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Hein and Eliza Kucks; his sons, Paul H. and Ned R. Kucks; and his siblings, Karl, Jr. and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his wife June (Pangburn); his children, Elizabeth Mangold (Skip), LuAnn Kucks, Christine Kucks, Eric Kucks (Becci), Michelle Smith-Martin and Cheri Fether; his brothers, Edwin Hein (Debbie) and Larry; and his close friend Barbara Linder (John). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to St. Michael's Lutheran Church Good Samaritan Fund or the Vicksburg VFW Post# 5189.
