She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Hattis and Helena Shlagor; and her husband Meredith "Jay" Applebey. She is survived by: her children, Kerenda Applebey and Ron Applebey (Kim); her grandchildren, Jynell Tackett (Clint), Nick Ruggles (Ashley) and Martez White (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Melody Tackett, Brooklyn Tackett and Rylee Ballard; and her siblings, Althea Smith, Yona Reed, Stanley Hattis Jr. (Wanda), Ronald Hattis and Larry Hattis (Ruth). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
