It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet D. Matthews of Vicksburg, Michigan, born in Cadillac, Michigan, who passed away on October 16, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smrekar and Katherine "Kate" Smrekar (Colby); her husband Greg Matthews; and her siblings, Joanne, Jim, Dutch, Clarie and Gerri.

She is survived by: her children, Tim Matthews (Lynn Zollinger) and Lisa Matthews (Dan Cook); her grandchildren, Sara Janssen (Chad) and Justin Matthews (Rikki); her great grandchild Ace James Matthews; and her siblings, Dee, Pat, Margie, Maryann and Bill.
