He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Colpaert and Bertha Colpaert; his sister JoAnne Johnsen (Jeff); and his daughter Cathy LaBruzzy (Jeff). He is survived by: his brother Robert Colpaert; his daughters, Carol Berman and Carrie Cassano (Pete); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Berman, Alexis LaBruzzy, Charles LaBruzzy, Jonathan Cassano, Nina Cassano and Thomas LaBruzzy. He is also survived by friends and relatives.
