He was predeceased by: his father Walter L. Stephens; and his brother Charles Stephens. He is survived by: his daughters, Christina Gaskin and Melissa Olivares; his siblings, Harriet Stephens, Don W. Stephens and Ron Wolffen; and his grandchildren, Maria Olayo, Damion Gaskin, Jr., D'ante Gaskin, Andrea Olivares, Jade Olivares and Luka Olivares.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post #308.
