Irene Marie Schmidt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Marie Schmidt of Ubly, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Salowitz-Kucharczyk (Klama) and Sylvester Salowitz; her stepfather Ernest Kucharczyk; her brother Leonard Salowitz; and her children, Joseph, Kenneth, Anna and Theresa Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband James S. Schmidt; her daughters, Linda Schmidt and Caroline Gornowicz (Schmidt); her granddaughters, Alyssa Gornowicz and Kristyna Robinson (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Ryan, Maddison and Evelyne Robinson; her sisters, Beatrice Martinez of Milan, Susan Weisner of Harbor Beach and Marlene Kolomak (Elliott) of Marlette; and her siblings-in-law, Alonzo, Helen Decker of South Carolina and Joan Schmidt of California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.
