He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Diane Eggert (Kaufman); his siblings, Alma Engel, Wilbur, Erwin and Robert Eggert; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Eggert, Luella Eggert, Genevieve Soine (Pilaske), Thelma Pleiness (Pilaske), Oliver Soine, Walton Engel, August Pleiness and Tony Sadowski.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice M. Pilaske; his children, Penny Bucholtz (Gene) of Harbor Beach and Arnie Eggert (Mary) of Port Hope; his grandchildren, Tammy Kolomak (Ken), Kerri Essenmacher (Scott), Kyle Bucholtz (Emily), Jennifer Iseler (Brian), Jodi Porzandek (Robert) and Casey Eggert (Amber); his brother Merl Eggert (Patsy); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Eggert of Lori Eggert and Emerson Pilaske (Irene). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
