He is survived by: his wife Patty (Alberts); his children, Ashley Lebel (Mike) of Traverse City and Jeremy Poertner (Chelsea Bley) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Kamilè, Sawyer, James, Landon, Delilah, Xander, Isadora, Juniper, Callie Jean and Holland; his close friend Joseph Kutten; his half-siblings, John, Dave Sheets and Rosemary; his siblings-in-law, Wilmer Alberts Jr., Gudrun Poertner, Shirley Shananaquet, Melissa Alberts and Mary Pelcher (Earl); his sisters, Evelyn, Helen and Marilda; and his siblings-in-law, Michael, Martin Shananaquet and Theresa Shananaquet.
