He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughter Shawn Smith; his grandchildren, Caroline Petrucci (Mike), Molly and Luke; his daughter Nicole Wright (Andrew); his grandchildren, Gavin, Libby, Kate and Charlotte; his son Michael Schmidt (Lisa); his grandchildren, Parker and Grant; his great grandchildren, Mark Steckley (Melissa) and Dana Broderick (Tom); and also, Hendrick, Sydney, Brock and Reece. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to New Hope Community Church, 5100 Bethesda Ct.
