He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatz Buday and Ella Buday (Pallo); and his siblings, Irene, Therese, Harry, Rudolph, Joseph, John and Arthur.
He is survived by: his wife Helen I. Merriam; his sons, Michael (Michele), Christopher, Jon and Jeffrey; his grandsons, Andrew (Danelle), Jonathan (Alana) and Nicholas; his great grandchild Natalie; and his brothers, Edward Buday (Joan) of Charlevoix and Lawrence Buday of Petoskey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
