She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Kahler and Eulah Kahler (Stanard); her husband Wayne Essex; and her brothers, Ronnie "Gus" Kahler and Richard Kahler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kendra Essex of Marcellus, Stacey Essex of Granger, IN and Kimberly Essex (Gordon Brunner) of Three Rivers; her grandchildren, Kymera Brunner, Hunter Brunner, Brayton Young, Taylor Miller, Neil Miller, Carter Mikel and Camden Mikel; her siblings, Patricia Swartz (Ronald) and Larry Kahler (Robin) of Marcellus; her sister-in-law Joann Kahler of Marcellus; and her caregiver Megan Mikel (Cody) of Marcellus.
