He was predeceased by: his parents, John Yearling and Doris Yearling (Hagen); his nephew Erik Smith (Katherine Smith); and his aunt Frances Hagen. He is survived by: his close friend Susan Harper-Grieger; his daughters, Christine Hamlin and Jennifer Dentler (Mike Dentler); his sisters, Suzanne Reed and Laurie Smith (Bob Smith); his grandchildren, Kiera Sandoval, Brandon Dentler (Mackenzie Dentler) and Delaney Dentler; and his nieces, Sana Gaffney (Will Gaffney) and Sabrina Lear (Matt Lear).
